Brief Program Description

 

Digital Marketing 400 Program at Glenn College is an advanced diploma program that provides students with both foundational and specialized skills required for success in the digital marketing industry. Students will study digital strategy, branding, social media marketing, marketing automation, SEO, analytics, and integrated communication planning. The program combines theoretical study with practical, hands-on projects and concludes with a cooperative work experience placement.

 

* This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Admissions Requirements

 

General Admission Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years old

Language Proficiency Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:

  • BC English 12 with a minimum C+ grade
  • IELTS 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT 46–59
  • TOEIC band 605 - 780

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate effective market research
  • Explain the fundamentals of digital marketing
  • Describe social media marketing strategies
  • Describe the process for search engine optimization
  • Plan and execute an effective web design
  • Demonstrate effective writing for the web
  • Develop and execute a career plan including job applications
  • Research, plan and advise on a digital marketing campaign

  • Final course examinations

  • Co-op employer evaluation
  • Final work experience report

Completion Requirements

  • 70% minimum attendance
  • Minimum 70% passing grade for each course
  • Successful completion of the 960-hour co-op placement

  • Co-op Work Experience: 960 hours (48 weeks)
  • Total Program Hours: 1,920 hours over approximately 96 weeks

* If the program is longer than 12 months, a subsequent student enrolment contract can only be signed after 50% of the program’s hours of instruction listed in the original contract have been provided.
